THE XITAU CHALLENGE

Welcome Brothers,

We will pose various challenges to you all to promote your physical, spiritual, social, intellectual, and moral welfare.  The goal will be to present on a new challenge each month with the hopes of improving the livelihood and well being of all.

Discussion Questions for Each Chapter

  • What are your favorite quotes or passage and why?
  • What was your initial reaction to this chapter?
  • Think of a “If then” questions that you can pose to the group.
    For example…
    If happiness is not a goal that can be achieved through a set of self-improvement techniques then how is it achieved?
  • 3, 2, 1:
    3-Things you learned in the chapter
    2- Ways you can consider applying it to your life
    1- Thing you still aren’t sure about or 1 thing you would change about your life.
  • Did the chapter change your opinion about anything?
  • What questions and uncertainties do you still have about what Mark Manson is trying to convey?
  • What are strengths and weaknesses of what is conveyed?
  • How can we use what Mark has said in this chapter to help us overcome our life challenges?
  • What do you feel that are common misconceptions about how we think as black males verse what mark has discussed in this chapter?
  • Is his argument relevant? So what? What next?

2017 Christmas Party

Cost will cover venue rental, meals, etc.  Excess funds will go towards gifts to children of our deceased Xi Tau Brothers.  Date is 12/16/17 (third Saturday).

The Reunion Weekend (during BLACKtie June 1-3, 2017) will consist of a chapter hospitality suite, picnic t-shirt, and a Sunday chapter event.
